Pauline Nantongo Kalunda with a BSc in Zoology & Psychology as well as an MSc in Zoology is the Executive Director of Ecotrust, Pauline has over 12 years experience in Natural Resources Management supporting the development of partnerships for conservation, conservation financing as well as human resource management. Pauline has previously worked with several Ugandan conservation NGOs supporting the translation of scientific knowledge into conservation action. Pauline loves bird watching and sports. In her free time Pauline plays a bit of soccer and rugby.

 

Gerald Isiko Kairu BSc in Forestry and MSc in Environment and Natural Resource Management), Gerald is a Programme Officer with ECOTRUST spearheading its Payment for Environmental Services as well as Land Trust programme. Gerald has over 10years’ working experience in Community-Based Natural Resources Management, Conservation Financing Schemes, High Value Agriculture Programes and Wildlife- Community Conservation. He is one of Uganda’s leading experts in developing and implementing carbon management schemes.

 

Polycarp Musimami Mwima: a PhD Cand with a BSc in Forestry and MSc in Environment and Natural Resource Management). Polycarp is a Program Officer at ECOTRUST, responsible for monitoring and evaluation. Polycarp is a well accomplished ecologist with a number of publications to his name and over 10 years’ work experience in the design and implementation of community - based Environmental Management projects. His other keen interest is in introducing and sharing scientific ideas to communities. He loves nature and enjoys bird watching. Soccer is his favorite game to listen to, watch and play. However, while at home with the family, scrabble is one other favored indoor game.

 

Rose Mugide Kubirabe: Holds a Bachelors degree in Business Administration, she is the finance officer of ECOTRUST responsible for the organisation’s financial planning, management and reporting. Currently, She is pursuing membership to the ACCA. Enjoys volleyball and traveling.

 

Jackie Kigozi: an underwriter by profession and has a Strong working knowledge of event management and personnel coordination from the corporate world. She is ECOTRUST’s Corporate Affairs Manager, spearheading the Green Heart for the Community Campaign. Jackie Enjoys playing rugby in her free time and she is the Team Manager for Uganda’s National Ladies’ Rugby Team.

 

Lillian Kiguli-: Holds a MSc in Botany and has experience in research and management from the corporate world and a very strong background in statistical work with a strong emphasis in agricultural research projects. She is responsible for coordinating the management of data and records/publications for ECOTRUST’s programmes. She is Interested in reading and traveling.

 

Emily Nankumba: with a BSc in Community forestry Emily is very enthusiastic about community participation in conservation work and has since her school days been involved in mobilising communities to address their environmental needs. She is one of ECOTRUST’s field programme coordinators based in Masindi

 

Lydia Kuganyirwa: Holds a BSc in Community forestry and extensive knowledge and experience in biomass assessments as well as working with grassroot communities. She is one of ECOTRUST’s field programme coordinators based in Kasese

 

Adrine Kirabo: Holds a BSc in Community forestry with knowledge and experience in land-use planning. She is one of ECOTRUST’s field programme coordinators based in Hoima. She is very enthusiastic about working with communities

 

Florence Kyomugisha: Currently working as an Office Assistant, She is the longest serving staff member who has grown with the organisation

 

James Kiwanuka: Transport Officer, with a very good understanding of all the field programmes’ locations
